Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Cleaning
Switch off and unplug the Zanussi ZEBF 290 W refrigerator before any cleaning. Use warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre) for internal cleaning, and warm water with a little washing-up liquid for external surfaces. Avoid detergents or abrasive powders.
Condenser and Compressor Dusting
Once or twice a year, dust the condenser (black grill) and compressor at the back of the appliance using a brush or vacuum cleaner to maintain efficient performance.
Automatic Defrosting
This model features automatic defrosting; no manual defrosting is required. Ensure that the fridge and freezer compartments are not overfilled to allow proper air circulation.
Proper Installation
Install the appliance away from heat sources like cookers and radiators. Avoid direct sunlight. Leave space for ventilation as per installation instructions to prevent overheating.
Temperature Control
After installation, allow the appliance to stand for 2 hours. Set the thermostat control to a midway setting (3-4) and adjust the air circulation slider control to a midway position between 'MIN' and 'MAX'.
